While driving down an East Texas country road I spotted this scene. The autumn trees and the late afternoon sun made these golden bales of hay shine just a little bit more. Fortunately I had my camera with me. (c) James Q. Eddy Jr.

Mattress Firm Seeks Intern To Sleep On The Job

(SOUNDBITE OF MUSIC)

RACHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Rachel Martin. Mattress retailers have come on hard times lately, with competition from online companies that deliver a bed in a box. Maybe that's why Mattress Firm is offering a perk to its intern - or as the company calls it, a Snoozetern. It's taking applications for an intern to test beds and post videos on social media. Requirements include proficiency in napping regardless of time of day and being, quote, "eager to meet new people and talk to them about awesome things like sleep." Sign me up.
