For nearly 30 years, this acclaimed production has transported audiences across the United States to the “Rambling House,” a cozy Irish cottage where neighbors gather on Christmas Eve for an evening of laughter, song, and community. Anchored by Foley’s captivating tales from his childhood in Teampall and Ghleanntáin, the evening overflows with lively step dancing, hauntingly beautiful carols, and Celtic artistry. This heartwarming holiday event invites audiences to step into the cottage and become neighbors for the night. Doors open at 6:30pm. This participatory production recreates Santa’s North Pole home, offering laughter, heartfelt moments, and an unforgettable Christmas tale. At the heart of the show is David Michael Smith, a veteran performer whose warm portrayal of Santa has captivated audiences for over 15 years. Historic Murphysburg Preservation, Inc. will host an afternoon tea on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 12 Noon and again at 3:00 p.m. Guests will be treated to a tour and historical account of the house while enjoying the holiday decorations. Period costumes (early 1900s) are welcome but are not required. There will be a selection of teas with delectable traditional English finger foods and delicacies. Tea etiquette and local history will also be presented. The event will also include tales of scandals that enveloped the Dangerfield family! What is a society gathering without a little neighborhood gossip?
Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistatt, will be presenting “Journey of Promises”, a Christmas cantata on December 20, 2025, under the direction of Carol McIntyre. If you have family visiting for holidays, bring them. What a great evening for all to enjoy! 40-45 voices from the surrounding communities will be bringing the Christmas message in songs.
