Dive into a world of comics, collectibles, and cosplay at ArtCon February 7 — Neosho’s ultimate celebration of Comics, Sci-Fi, Anime, Esports, Cosplay. The annual event is hosted by the Neosho Art Council. Art Con takes place at Neosho Junior High school Saturday February 7 starting at 10 am.
The Downtown Joplin Alliance hosts its 8th annual Paris Week at the Empire Market Saturday February 14th from 10 am to 2 pm. They’ll be freshly baked macarons, baguettes & parisian sandwiches and a Paris-themed Photo Boot. The D J A hosts Paris week at the Empire Market Saturday February 14th.

The Crawford County Mental Health Center is holding a mental health first aid training on January 30th. The course will cover the signs of mental health challenges and substance use disorders in adults. It’s an all-day training starting at 8 a.m. at the center’s North Broadway location.
January 31st, learn how to make a perfect cup of coffee using the pour-over method at McKay Street Coffeehouse in Frontenac. Registration is required and it starts at 9 a.m. You can register with the link on their Facebook page.
And February 6th, Pitt State Opera is performing a double comedy feature of The Telephone and Trial by Jury. That begins at 7 p.m. at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.

The Joplin Interfaith Coalition is holding a panel discussion on January 31st about sin, repentance and redemption. That starts at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Joplin.
Also on January 31st, the Joplin Public Library is hosting a young adult book swap for teens. That will go from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the library’s teen department.
And the Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre in Carthage is performing the comedy play ‘Leona, Love Thy Neighbor, Too.” It runs for two weekends, January 30th and February 1st and then February 6th and 8th. Tickets can be bought by calling 417-358-9665.
