Fred's southwest Missouri events

 The Ozark Festival Orchestra will conclude its 46th season of concerts in Monett at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, with the annual Marty Beckwith Memorial Pops Concert, held this year at Monett High School. The Ozark Festival Orchestra performs in Monett on April 12.

And..

The Ozark Gateway Master Gardener annual plant sale in Joplin will have healthy plants of all kinds, including vegetable, annual, perennial and native plants. It’s scheduled for Saturday May 2 at Crossline ministries in Joplin. The Ozark Gateway Master Gardener annual plant sale in Joplin Saturday May 2.

Finally,

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is marking Truman Day also on Saturday May 2nd. The U.S's 33rd President was born Lamar, Missouri and raised in Independence. Truman served two terms as president from 1945 to 1953. Truman Day in Lamar at the Harry S. Truman Historic Birthplace on Saturday May 2. It's open to the public.

Fred's southeast Kansas events

The Bells of the Balkans, Pittsburg Community Bell Choir, will present a concert entitled "The Life of Jesus in Scripture and Song". The concert will take place in the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church sanctuary on Sunday, April 12, at 3:00 P.M. Admission is free with donations being gratefully accepted.

Also, 

The City of Chanute is hosting The Suits for one night only Thursday April 16 starting at 7 pm. The Suits are four dynamic gentlemen performing four genres of hit music from the '50s through the '80s: Motown, Doo Wop, Pop and Rock. Fusing smooth choreography and tight harmonies. The Suits in Chanute, Thursday April 16.

Finally,

The Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas is hosting their sixth annual Women Helping Women fundraising at a new location this year, at Pittsburg's Kansas Crossing Casino, Sunday April 12. Women Helping Women provides one-time emergency financial support grants to women throughout six southeast Kansas counties.

Raegan's southeast Kansas events

The Parsons Recreation Commission is holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th. It’s meant for kids age 12 and under and will start at 10 a.m. at the Marvel Park Ball Fields.

Also April 4th is the Southeast Kansas Humane Society Spring Bake Sale. Baked goods will be available at the Meadowbrook Mall in Pittsburg from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go toward helping the animals at the Humane Society’s shelter.

And on April 6th, the Pittsburgh Public Library is hosting a presentation by Chris Glasgow, curator at the Oz Museum in Wamego. Learn about the story behind L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. That starts at 6 p.m.

Raegan's southwest Missouri events

April 4th is the monthly Bison Saunter at Prairie State Park. Starting at 10 a.m., the approximately two mile walk will take participants closer to the park’s bison. This is a free event, but registration is required. Call 417-843-6711 to register.

100 Women Who Care in Jasper and Newton County is holding their quarterly meeting on April 7th at the Joplin Public Library. The group will hear from three local charities and decide which charity to donate to. That starts at 6:30 p.m.

And on April 8th the Missouri Southern Lion Co-op is hosting a fundraiser for the Groceries to Graduate Scholarship Program. It will start at 11:30 a.m. at the Ron Richard Athletic Center. For $25, get a bowl, serving of soup, bread and dessert.
