It's never too early to plan to run in Carthage's 43rd annual pumpkin run Saturday October 18. The race is organized by the Joplin Road Runners. Distances include 1, 2, 5 and ten miles. The annual Pumpkin run in Carthage, Saturday October 18.

August 6th through the 9th is Arma’s annual homecoming festival. It’s Kansas’s only celebration that commemorates America’s World War II victory over Japan. The full schedule of events can be found on armahomecoming.com.
Also the 6th through the 9th, Triple Threat Threeatrics is performing the musical Dear Evan Hansen at Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium. The show will start at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
And August 11th, BTC Athletics & Dance in Pittsburg is hosting an open house. Tour the studios, meet the teachers and participate in free dance classes. More information is on BTC’s Facebook page.
Raegan's southwest Missouri events -
August 8th is the annual Joplin Area Arts & Cultural Preview. The public is invited to hear what area organizations have planned for the upcoming year. The free event will be at the Cornell Complex at 10 a.m.
August 8th and 9th, attend Epitaphs & Engravings at the George Washington Carver National Monument. The ranger-led program explores the symbols and reflections found within the Carver Family Cemetery. It starts at 1 p.m. both days.
And August 14th through 16th is the first weekend to see Clue performed at the Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre. Show times and ticket information can be found at stonesthrowdinnertheatre.com.
