100 Women Who Care Jasper/Newton chapter meets quarterly to hear from three local charities. Each charity has 10 minutes to present their mission and answer question. A vote is taken. The charity that has the most votes becomes the charity the chapter supports. Each member of 100 Women Who Care donates $100 to the winning charity. With just over 50 members, the charity receives a bit more than $5,000. It is a win/win for all. Members are not required to run a 5K, purchase a black dress or eat a dry over price chicken meal. The losing charities are often nominated and draw out of a hat and asked to return.
