While driving down an East Texas country road I spotted this scene. The autumn trees and the late afternoon sun made these golden bales of hay shine just a little bit more. Fortunately I had my camera with me. (c) James Q. Eddy Jr.

Tomáseen Foley’s "A Celtic Christmas"

Tomáseen Foley’s "A Celtic Christmas" brings Ireland’s holiday traditions to life with masterful storytelling, spirited music, and breathtaking dance. For nearly 30 years, this acclaimed production has transported audiences across the United States to the “Rambling House,” a cozy Irish cottage where neighbors gather on Christmas Eve for an evening of laughter, song, and community. Anchored by Foley’s captivating tales from his childhood in Teampall and Ghleanntáin, the evening overflows with lively step dancing, hauntingly beautiful carols, and Celtic artistry. This heartwarming holiday event invites audiences to step into the cottage and become neighbors for the night. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets may be purchased at connect2culture.org, (417) 621-9824, or at the C2C box office inside the Cornell Complex (Tue–Sat | 1–5pm). Tickets: $50–$55.
