The presentation will be at 5 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the library's community room. Bryan Trude, an assistant professor of communication at Missouri Southern State University, will speak about reading news, finding credible sources and navigating online spaces.

The presentation is a part of the library's new series, Adulting 101. It aims to provide information on various topics and skills to help teenagers as they transition into early adulthood. Teenagers from the Joplin area who are a part of the Next Gen Library Council came up with the idea for the program and it's topics. The first presentation in January focused on mental health, and the one in March will focus on food and health.
