through October, thousands of people gather on Main Street in Downtown Joplin from 5:30pm to 8:30pm to enjoy local

New Bethel Church invites you to an evening of Southern Gospel music with The Guardians on Friday, October 16, at 7:00
PM at The Tabernacle at New Bethel Church in Anderson, Missouri. The Guardians are one of Southern Gospel music’s most

Pittsburg Mayor Chuck Munsell will deliver the 2026 State of the City Address on Tuesday October. 20starting at 8:30 am.

Saddle Up, Gorillas — It’s Homecoming Parade Time! Saturday October 17 starting at 9 pm. Students, alumni, and
the Pittsburg community are invited to line the streets of downtown for the annual Homecoming Parade — a true

Finally,
Cato Days is on the annual for Saturday October 24. It's an annual heritage festival at the historic Cato Stone School near
Arcadia, Kansas celebrating what is believed to be the first community built in southeast Kansas. The free autumn event brings

October 3rd is the Neosho Fall Festival. Enjoy food and refreshments, a car show, sidewalk chalk art contest and more. The full schedule is available at neoshomo.gov.
Downtown Restaurant Week in Joplin starts on October 3rd. Participating restaurants will have limited-time drinks and other new menu items available. See the Downtown Joplin Alliance Facebook page for the list of participating restaurants.
And October 8th, 100 Women Who Care is meeting at the Joplin Public Library. The group will hear presentations from three local charities and choose one to donate to. That starts at 6:30 p.m. on the 8th.
Raegan's southeast Kansas events
October 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the Chanute Community Theatre is performing Steel Magnolias at the Chanute Memorial Auditorium. Tickets cost $15 and will be available at the door starting at 6 p.m. The performance will start at 7.
The annual Cato Days is set for October 3rd. Learn about the first community in southeast Kansas with historical re-enactments, a wagon tour and more. The full schedule can be found on the Cato Historical Preservation Association Facebook page.
And October 7th, the Pittsburg Multigenerational Chorus is performing at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. The program will feature Broadway showstoppers and start at 7 p.m.
