Tune in Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. until midnight for five hours of swinging and styling with Reflections.

Whether you’re cooking, cleaning, driving, or just taking it easy at home, the night before Thanksgiving has a holiday feel all its own. Every year, this station welcomes the holiday season with five hours of some of the hits and hidden gems of yesteryear. Host Mark Haslett’s Reflections: Classic Jazz, Swing and Standards for the Night Before Thanksgiving is a musical tour of the decades from the 1930s through the 1960s. It’s equal parts hepcat hip and cornball square, and all fun.

This year’s show features the music of Billie Holiday and Benny Goodman, including the latter’s collaborations with Teddy Wilson, Gene Krupa, and Lionel Hampton. The program also features selections from The Bill Evans Trio’s legendary 1961 performance at the Village Vanguard in New York City. Also in the mix, a few tunes from Ukrainian Soviet-era bandleader Leonid Utyosov. Throw in some Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington and Django Reinhardt, and it’s a Thanksgiving feast for the ears.
