While driving down an East Texas country road I spotted this scene. The autumn trees and the late afternoon sun made these golden bales of hay shine just a little bit more. Fortunately I had my camera with me. (c) James Q. Eddy Jr.

A N.C. girl was celebrating her quinceañera when a noise complaint came in

RACHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Rachel Martin. Just so you know, it's not illegal to have a party. A girl in Greensboro, N.C., was celebrating her quinceanera. And somebody called the police to file a noise complaint. When officers showed up, they saw nothing wrong. They were even invited to stay and have some food. To show appreciation, the cops handed out stickers to the kids, took a picture with the birthday girl and made sure nobody rained on a Greensboro girl's big day.
