Phil Wise

Host of Starlight Jazz

Dr. Phillip Wise has served as professor and director of jazz studies at various universities including The Clark Terry International Institute of Jazz Studies. A trombonist and bassist, he has performed with numerous jazz elite including Clark Terry’s “BIG BAD” Band, Marshall Royal, Louis Bellson and Snooky Young.
