What does a film festival look like without actors?
Film festival season is just beginning. And writers and actors are striking.
The Screen Actors Guild has been on strike for almost two months and the Writers Guild of America has been on strike for more than four.
If the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers fails to come to the table, that could leave the film festivals ahead with red carpets emptier than usual.
The Telluride Film Festival celebrated its 50th anniversary this weekend. Over the years, films like Brokeback Mountain, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and Promising Young Woman have premiered there.
How did Telluride shake out without actors this year? Which movies should we keep an eye out for? We check in with film reporter John Horn.
