Pittsburg police Tuesday released an update on a homicide that took place in August.
On August 20 at about 1:15 am Pittsburg police, in addition to Pittsburg Fire and First Responder units rushed to 202. North Locust to reports of gunshots.
Upon arrival, it was determined that an adult male later identified as 36-year-old Justin E. Krogen of Pittsburg had been shot outside of Jimmy B’s bar and had died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
At the time Pittsburg PD and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation believed that the shooting was an isolated incident and was the result of an argument.
Yesterday, at 3 pm the US Marshals Service arrested 33-year-old Jemon Allen on a felony warrant issued by the 11th Judicial Circuit Court of Crawford County, Kansas for the First-Degree murder of about the death of Justin E. Krogen.
