Musician and Pittsburg native Lisa Michelle Anderson to perform at spring ArtWalk

Lisa Michelle Anderson

Anderson will perform songs from her new album, “Get to Somewhere,” which is inspired by her experience growing up in Pittsburg.

After spending the first 14 years of her life in Pittsburg, Anderson’s mother got a job with the United States Foreign Service and the family moved abroad. However, the memories she made in Pittsburg left a lasting impact, which she writes about on “Get to Somewhere.”

“I've really sort of carried the place and the people around with me all these years in my heart,” Anderson said. “I just couldn't be happier about coming back and jumping up on stage and sharing these songs and these stories with everyone that has meant so much to me.”

Anderson’s first performance is at 5 p.m. on April 12th at Europe Park. She will also play at 8 p.m. at the 5th Street Bar & Grill, performing a solo set first and then joining the J3 Band.
