Speaking Tuesday night at the Joplin city council meeting, councilmember Kate Spencer encouraged citizens to get involved. "
I just wanted to encourage the citizens of the Citizens Police Academy to really jump on that and take and participate. Mr. Farnham and I, I think we can fully vouch for our experience this last go ahead, that it’s extremely eye-opening.”
Participants must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check. You do not have to be a Joplin resident, but if the class is nearing the capacity of 25, preference may be given to applicants living within the Joplin Metro area. For 89 9 KRPS News, I’m Fred Fletcher-Fierro
