Yesterday the DJA announced a new quarterly networking session called Downtown Now! The Downtown Joplin Alliance is well known for hosting Third Thursday, First Friday Wine Share, and the Joplin Empire Market.
The new event is designed for downtown business owners, residents, or just a lover of Downtown to connect and learn more about what's happening. The first session will be at Cornell Complex tomorrow from 5:00 - 6:30 pm.
In addition to looking back at events in downtown Joplin in 2022, Luke Gibson with Glenn Group Commercial Real Estate will present the Joplin Union Depot and what steps are being taken to give it a brighter future.
Joplin Mayor Doug Lawson will also be recognizing Harold Berger, owner of Pearl Bros.True Value Hardware store. The Berger family has owned the shop since 1949. The store will be closing on January 28.
