Two websites used by patients of Joplin’s Freeman Health System continued to be offline, however, the hospital isn’t saying much about why patients aren’t able to log in.
Freeman’s Clinic Portal at clinic.myfreemanhealth.com which allows patients to access their electronic medical records in addition to requesting doctor visits and test results has not been available for patients to log in since last week.
That’s in addition to Freeman’s Hospital portal at hospital.myfreemanhealth.com which allows patients to download, view, and transmit health information from a hospital electronic medical record, review lab results, and view upcoming appointments among other features.
(Both websites continue to be offline as of the publishing of this article, late Monday morning 12/04/2023)

Also, website outage monitor isitdownrightow.com confirms that both websites are unavailable for any traffic as of 11:42 am 12/04/2023.

Freeman has said very little about the two website outages, only posting on their website, quote, “Our IT team is actively working to restore all patient portals for you to access your information. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.” unquote.
The statement from Freeman goes on to say that the target date to have the websites working is later this week.
While the health system ISN'T SAYING that they’ve been hacked or that their computer systems have been compromised, countless hospitals across the US have been the victim of cyberattacks this year.
Last week, the University of Kansas Health System in Topeka had to divert emergency room patients to other hospitals after they were the victims of a ransomware attack.
According to the Institute for Security and Technology, at least 299 hospitals have suffered ransomware attacks in 2023. Freeman operates over 30 locations in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
KRPS has reached out to Freeman Health System for an update about situation and they've declined to comment.
