Give The Gift of Life During the Miracle of Giving Blood Drive This Holiday Season

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 44 area healthcare facilities, is asking all eligible blood donors to give ahead of the holidays during the 29th annual Miracle of Giving Blood Drive. The blood drive will be held on two critical days – December 22 and December 29 – at all CBCO donor centers throughout the region.

It’s sure to be a busy weekend for many of us, and the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks wants to remind you it only takes about an hour to save a life.

The days leading up to Christmas and the week between the big holiday and New Year's Day are a blur for many of us. Whether taking time off to travel and visit family and friends in another part of the country or continuing to work, a lot of our routines are thrown off.

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks knows this and has made plans to attract blood donors tomorrow and a week later on Friday, December 29 with special enticements they hope will draw you in, no pun intended. CBCO is the sole supplier of blood, platelets, and plasma to patients at 44 area healthcare facilities is holding the 29th annual Miracle of Giving Blood Drive.

Successful donors tomorrow and next Friday will receive a cozy plaid blanket, a “Miracle of Giving” campfire mug, along with a $10.00 Casey’s gas gift card. The Joplin donor center located at the Northpark Mall at 101 N. Range Line Rd is open 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM tomorrow and next Friday.

To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. Donors can schedule an appointment at https://www.cbco.org or by calling 417-227-5006.
