Suspect in killing of 8 people near Chicago has died in Texas, police say
Police in Joliet, Ill., said Monday night that 23-year-old Romeo Nance was located by U.S. marshals near Natalia, Texas, and that after a confrontation Nance shot himself.
Turkey calls the blast in Istanbul an attack. At least 6 are dead
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast on Istiklal Avenue. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has vowed that the nation will not bow to terrorism.

Police in Warrensburg would like everyone to cut them a break. They posted on their Facebook page, asking the public to keep crime to a minimum over the next three days because it's just too cold.

A Canadian woman recently found a message in a bottle from 1989
The woman from Quebec posted photos of her discovery to Facebook. A man who saw the post said the note was written by his dad. The bottle had been thrown into the water off Newfoundland.

Starbucks' Barista Tipped Handsomely After Customer Tried To Shame Him
The barista refused to serve a woman who was not wearing a mask. She took his picture and put it on Facebook. People commented in support of him, and someone created a virtual tip jar for him.

Georgia County Residents Call 911 After Multiple Alarms Go Off
Union County responders posted on Facebook that the alarms were coming from this year's swarm of cicadas. Their singing can sound like a car alarm and can reach 120 decibels.

Northwest Missouri Men’s Basketball and Central Missouri Women’s BB Top 2023 MIAA Pre-Season Coaches Poll
Pittsburg State Men’s basketball is projected to finish in 11th place this upcoming season, while the PSU Women's BB team is forecast to finish 3rd. PSU men finished the 2022-2023 campaign in 13th place with an overall record of 8 and 20. While the Lady Gorillas wrapped up last year's campaign in 4th place with an overall record of 23 and 8.
