Pittsburg State Head football Coach Brian Wright looks to the next four games and finishing undefeated

The 2014 season was the last time Pittsburg State football made it to the N C Double-A playoffs, losing in the second round to Minnesota State - Mankato.

The team went 10 and 1 in the M I Double that season; their only loss was to Fort Hayes State by a score of 7 to 6. This season the Gorillas control their destiny; they have a two-game lead over four teams tied for second place.

PSU Head Coach Brian Wright appearing on 100.7 FM ESPN radio on Monday, spoke about how he and the team felt after Saturday's win.

"Overall good. Mission accomplished, yanno, going out of there one and oh. And I think it's a true testament to our team to go in there and respond after an emotional victory against Northwest to come back the next week and go to work and improve and really have a good goal of dominating a football game."

The homecoming game is this weekend at Pittsburg State; they'll host Missouri Western on Saturday. For 89 9 KRPS, I'm Fred Fletcher-Fierro
