Step back in time as Cherry and Jerry bring you some hit tunes and rarely played gems from the ragtime era. With a focus on ragtime, early blues, and jazz, you'll hear enduring songs such as St. Louis Blues and The Entertainer along with great songs that they've dusted off and brought back to life. Fun for all ages, with a bit of history thrown in!“Cherry & Jerry” is Isaac Cherry on percussion and Jerry Rabushka on piano; they focus mainly on music from 1900-1920: ragtime, early blues and jazz, and popular songs from back in the day.Performances include well known tunes such as The Entertainer, St. Louis Blues, Georgia on My Mind, Stormy Weather, etc as well as rarely played music from the era, for a unique take on America’s first pop music. Great fun for all ages!The St. Louis duo has toured music of the ragtime era throughout the region, appearing at libraries, museums, pubs and restaurants, special events, senior communities, and more.Recent appearances include: Illinois State Fair, DuQuoin State Fair, George Washington Carver National Monument, Diamond, MO; DuSable Black History Museum in Chicago Missouri History Museum, St. Louis, MO; Big River Steampunk Festival, Hannibal, MO.

Celebrating 20 years of festival memories, legendary performances, and fan energy, Rocklahoma returns to Rockin’ Red Dirt Ranch for a Labor Day weekend of full-throttle hard rock and heavy metal performers. Headliners Godsmack, Papa Roach, and Slayer lead a stacked lineup of rock favorites across multiple stages. With camping/glamping, festival traditions, and a gathering of rock’s greatest fans, Rocklahoma is the must-see rock event of the summer.

This event features historic trades demonstrations (basket weaving, blacksmithing, spinning, Dutch-oven cooking, and more), live music, activities for kids, interactive exhibits, and more. Earn a Prairie Day Junior Ranger badge. The event is free of charge.

Trinity Lutheran Church, Freistatt, MO, invites you to attend a musical concert on September 20, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. The concert theme is “Faith, Freedom, and Our Nation Under God” and will include vocal and instrumental music, solos, duets, and choirs. In addition, there will be 4 congregation hymns emphasizing our God, our journey, our foundation, and our nation. Come and enjoy the music of “Faith, Freedom, and Our Nation Under God”. Please join us. After the concert there will a historical presentation about Trinity’s first teacher, Henry Nehrling. This will take place in the Fellowship Hall at the school. There will be a light supper of sandwiches and hors d’oeuvres in the Fellowship Hall.
