Earlier this week KRPS’s Fred Fletcher-Fierro spoke with Quintet Attacca’s oboist Erica Anderson about the differences between a string, brass and wind quintets.

And what the group has in-store for their Friday night performance at Pittsburg State’s McCray Hall.

In the extended cut of the interview Erica explains how oboist’s and other reed musicians personally make their own reeds.

In addition to how she started playing the piano at 6 years old and a funny story about how she came to play the oboe.

He’s also a daily reporter for the station, covering city government, elections, public safety, arts, entertainment, culture, sports and more.
