Crimson & Gold Connection: Pasta Making Class with Angela Myer

Join PSU’s Alumni & Constituent Relations for a pasta making class taught by Angela Meyer (BS '06), Vice President of the Pittsburg State University Alumni Association. Registration is open to the public.

Earlier this week KRPS’s Matthew Witt spoke with the vice president of the Pittsburg State Alumni Association and lawyer Angela

Myer about a pasta-making class that she will hold on Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m.

Angela shares that she caught the cooking bug as a law student and as a result, she has traveled to Italy four times

seeking out new recipes, cooking tools, and ingredients to bring back to her hometown of Pittsburg, KS.

The cost is $35/person, which includes a drink ticket, assorted snacks, and desserts & pasta-making supplies to take home.

Since 2017 Fred Fletcher-Fierro has driven up Highway 171 through thunderstorms, downpours, snow, and ice storms to host KRPS’s Morning Edition. He’s also a daily reporter for the station, covering city government, elections, public safety, arts, entertainment, culture, sports and more. Fred has also spearheaded and overseen a sea change in programming for KRPS from a legacy classical station to one that airs a balance of classical, news, jazz, and cultural programming that better reflects the diverse audience of the Four States. For over two months in the fall of 2022 he worked remotely with NPR staff to relaunch krps.org to an NPR style news and information website.

In the fall of 2023 Fred was promoted to Interim General Manager and was appointed GM in Feburary of 2024.
