In the first Crimson and Gold of the Spring semester, Taylor tells about the introduction of the Telus Student Support for Pittsburg State students. The new partnership allows CHCSEK staff to work with Telus counselors for a more complete health picture for students.

The Bryant Student Health Center at Pittsburg State was constructed in 2010, a much-needed update and upgrade over the previous home of student health services. Before relocating to the BSHC, health services for students were operated out of two locations.

The first, what is now known as the band room next to Carnie Smith stadium and the second location, offices inside the Student Union. Today, student health services are operated by the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas although they are still operated out of the Bryant Student Health Care at PSU.

At the time this interview was recorded Taylor worked for Pittsburg State at the BSHC. Today she’s a Diabetes Program Manager for CHCSEK.
