Neosho Arts Council Announces Youth Art Contest
According to Neosho Arts Council President Sarah Serio, “The goal is to encourage young artists and help show them that their work is just as worthy of exhibition as an adult’s work of art,”. The works will hang on public display this fall at the Neosho National Fish Hatchery.
PSU's Bicknell Center Celebrates 10-Years, Announces Programming Lineup

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is discharged from hospital, resuming full duties
Austin, 70, has had ongoing health issues since undergoing surgery in December to treat prostate cancer. In January, Austin was hospitalized for two weeks after he experienced surgery complications.

Acting Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe to Visit Southeast Missouri after Severe Storms
Several thousand Amren utility customers remain without power in southeast Missouri after severe storms swept through the area over the weekend. Stoddard County is the most widely affected with nearly 35% of their customers without power as of Monday night.
Joplin City Council to Hold Special Session Tonight to Discuss Future of Memorial Hall
Any number of options are available for the city council to act on regarding Memorial Hall, however at least two would require a vote from Joplin residents that could take place next Spring.
Siblings, 8 and 5, killed as suspected drunk driver crashes into children's birthday
A young brother and sister died and several people were injured, some seriously, when a vehicle driven by a suspected drunken driver crashed into a young child's birthday party at a boat club.
