Thursday May 22 was the 14th Anniversary of the E-5 tornado that devastated Joplin, Missouri and claimed the lives of 158 people. Michael Weaver was a resident in Joplin at the time and a prospective medical student. KRPS's Rachel Schnelle spoke with him about how the tornado impacted his personal and professional life.

According to data compiled by Sharity, children are the most affected group of homeless individuals in Joplin at 65%, or 460 children. While adults between the ages of 18 and 64 years old are the second largest group of homeless individuals at 34% or 189 people.
